** The Rogue Lawyer by John Grisham

The Rogue Lawyer seems rather unpolished, even unfinished, more as a set of connected stories than a novel,  but it delivers the usual suspenseful story with wicked villains, here corrupt police organizations and judges. The main character, the rogue lawyer of the title, fights for his shady clients and never hesitates to use a shortcut when he can. His personal affairs are also a mess, and on par with the rest of the book his young son makes rare appearances but seems pretty much forgotten by the end of the book. A handy title for a short flight.
