Two psychology books in a week! Negotiating the Nonnegotiable: How to Resolve Your Most Emotionally Charged Conflicts focuses on a topic entirely different from grit, the interesting issue of emotional negotiations. (And many, perhaps most negotiations have an emotional component.)  It’s full of checklists and four-quadrant charts that some may actually remember…  The big idea is, of course, to be aware of one’s emotional responses and to seek out the other party’s. Easier said than done.
