On Immunity: An Inoculation was a disappointment to me. Written by an anxious mother, it advocates for childhood immunization, making many common-sense arguments (including the all-important herd immunity) but never bringing truly new points. And the constant references to her father’s sayings on the topic (her father is a physician, and a sensible one) do get a little tiresome. Perhaps a better reader would be another anxious mom.
