** The Maker Movement by Mark Hatch

I was disappointed in The Maker Movement Manifesto: Rules for Innovation in the New World of Crafters, Hackers, and Tinkerers because it focused most on inventors and startups rather than on crafters, and it seemed to measure success solely through business ventures, when I thought there would be a good case to make for the personal satisfaction of the crafter. Still, the book is an interesting description of how the ready availability of design software, computer-controlled tools, 3D printers, and rented spaces full of tools such as TechShop, which the author co-founded, is changing the way tangible things can be created — making innovation possible for the average person, much like anyone can (in theory) create a piece of software.
