I was expecting a lot from American Nerd. I thought it would be funny: after all, nerds’ weaknesses can be quite entertaining. I thought it would be full of fresh observations: aren’t nerds supposed to be deep thinkers? I thought it would be kind to nerds: they are nice people, after all.
Well, I was disappointed. The author seems more interested in talking about himself (a nerd, naturally, but not a really interesting one) than to convey the fresh, kind, funny observations I wanted to read. Too bad!
